Born and raised in North Carolina, most of my life has been spent in the foothills of the North Carolina Mountains in Gaston and Mecklenburg Counties. After leaving a career in telecommunications, technology, etc. in the corporate world, I have been able to dedicate my time to learning new techniques and creating new pieces to share with others. We have now made our permanent home on the North Carolina Outer Banks.
Playhouses made of sticks and stones with mud pies “baking” in the sun, “designer” doll clothes stitched from Mom’s cloth scraps, miniatures built with toothpicks and Popsicle sticks, sun dried pots of clay dug from the creek banks, drawings of chalk and colored pencils - just to name a few! These are a few of my earliest creative memories. Being creative and constantly coming up with new “things” is a major part of my life – the part that keeps me sane. Although some of my creations may be similar, they are each “unique” as each item is individually crafted thus each one is special to me and I hope will be special to you.
